Since the Symposium Rick notes occurred literally two years ago, anyone who
may be interested in judicial elections should know of two other syposia,
one in
34 Loyola (L.A.) L.Rev. 1353 ff (2001)(hosted by 17 Chief Justices, Dec.
2001); another in 35 Ind. L.Rev. 649 ff (2002)(hosted by 8 CJs, Nov.
