Georgia's (Republican) governor has now sued Georgia's (Democratic) attorney general to get the attorney general to withdraw Georgia's appeal in Georgia v. Ashcroft. The case concerns a very important question about the meaning of "nonretrogression" under section 5 of the Voting Rights Act. You can access the latest Atlanta-Journal Constitution article here.
