"FEC to Loosen PAC Rules for Lawmakers"

The Hill offers this report.

Improving Senate Disclosure Rules

Roll Call reports on a new bill by Senators McCain and Feingold to require electronic filing of Senate campaign finance disclosure reports.

"Ney Mulls Subpoenas"

Roll Call offers this report (paid subscription required), which begins: "The leaders of five Democratic-leaning organizations have refused to testify about their soft-money activities during a House Administration Committee hearing scheduled for Thursday, forcing Republicans to decide whether to use their subpoena power to compel the officials to appear." The Hill's report is available free on-line. All of this grows out of the contributions by George Soros and others to Democratic-leaning 527s.

"Cash Flow"

David Broder writes this Washington Post oped.
