Beginning Friday, June 18, through Monday, June 21, the election law
blog, the election law listserv, and my e-mail will likely be down
for extended periods
for scheduled downtime maintenance. For at least some of this time, the
blog will be inacessible, the listserv will not post messages, and
e-mail messages will not come through to me (though, frustratingly, you
may not get a bounce message if you send me anything). Best bet to
reach me during this period: send an e-mail to my backup email address:
hasenr-at-netscape.net (replacing the -at- with @ of course).
A.P. offers a
report
that begins: "A group formed to encourage American Indian voting has
ties to a defunct political action committee that gave more than
$200,000 to the South Dakota Democratic Party."
The American Political Science Association recently released a task
force report,
America in an Age of Rising Inequality. Norm Ornstein comments
favorably on the report here.
Bob Bauer is less enthusaistic here.
