My concern is not so much whether voters were "disenfranchised"--a term,
by the way, that I think is being used much too casually nowadays.
If Daniel would like an appropriate example of "disenfranchised" I offer the
1.8 million U.S. citizens of voting age denied the presidential vote because
of their residence in Puerto Rico. The pending Supreme Court case, Igartua
v. United States, seeks to reverse this discriminatory disenfranchisement.
