A month or so ago H&R Block and Intuit announced that they would change their electronic filing software to:
1. better explain to tax payers that checking yes on the public funding box would not increase their taxes, and what it was for; and
2. do away with using "no" as the default option.
Can anyone tell me:
1. What exact language will the companies now use; and
2. Will there simply be no default in the software, or will the default be "yes."?
Thanks,
