OK.  But to keep extending the analogy, donors won't be required to disclose how much they gave, or to whom.  Wait... Ayres and Ackerman already thought of that.

In light of the ban referenced below and the threat of improper contributions, I'm wondering whether we should have a photo identification requirement for all financial contributions to candidate campaigns.  In other words, no more online giving or giving by mail, and at any fundraiser a candidate would require that each contributor provide a photo identification establishing the contributor's nationality/status as one legally authorized to give money to the candidate.
