<x-flowed>I seem to remember that Clinton/Gore 1996 got into trouble for raising
money at a Buddist Temple and soliciting contributions from
non-US-citizens.  The same thing also happened to ex-Sen. Robert
Torricelli (D-NJ) I believe.  So there must be a federal law banning
such donations.  Does this law also apply to state and local
contributions? I have been searching the Utah Code and County
Ordinances, but have yet to find anything.

Does anyone know a) what the Federal law is b) if any states have similar laws?

Please reply off-list.

Thanks!
