David,
The election law listserv now has about 700 members, including many journalists.  Indeed, many journalists who regularly cover these issues are list subscribers.  List archives also are publicly available (at this link: http://majordomo.lls.edu/cgi-bin/lwgate/ELECTION-LAW_GL/archives/).  Journalists also access list postings through a link under "Election Law Resources" on my blog.

A couple recent posting point towards the spin that will occur in the
next few weeks when the Texas redistricting and the Vermont
expenditure limits decisions are decided. I suspect many of us might
get contacted by reporters about how to understand the decisions and
their implications. Given the varied expertise in the topics, and of
course given the different ideological or political perspectives on
the listserv, interpretations many vary.

Is there anything set up on the listserv to help reporters out in
hooking them up to members of the listserv who can help them out or
which can give reporters some signals on the spins or perspectives
that subscribers or commentators may have? Should we do something?
