Many thanks to all of you who responded to my post earlier today regarding TV broadcasts of errant and narrowed candidate polls. I received the following from the general consultant to the campaign, which basically says that the station agreed to not run the "bad" poll, and to do the poll again with all the candidates, after being contcted by the campaign's lawyer (fmr sec'y of state of OK) and communications director.

Well I think [lawyer] and [communications director] calling them and talking to their folks
got them to say they are going to redo it. They are in the field now with
all the candidates, without admitting there was a problem in the poll.

I understand if this was the second or third question narrowing the field,
but to start off with two candidates is just plain wrong.

They said they were not going to televise these findings [the flawed poll], but they will the
ones going now.
