Center for Competitive Politics Launches New Website

Arlington, Va. - Today the Center for Competitive Politics ("CCP") substitutes its placeholder site for a fully functioning website. "After using the earlier site to post policy primers and the like, it will be nice to have a site that is more interactive and can be updated more frequently," said CCP Executive Director Stephen M. Hoersting, a former general counsel to the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

The site will provide the public with access to research articles, policy primers, news updates and blog entries. Today's post is by CCP co-founder and former Federal Election Commissioner Bradley A. Smith on legislative proposals to remake the six-member Federal Election Commission in the image of a campaign Czar: http://www.campaignfreedom.org/blog/id.27/blog_detail.asp <http://www.campaignfreedom.org/blog/id.27/blog_detail.asp>

The Center for Competitive Politics is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 by Smith and Hoersting. CCP's mission, through legal briefs, studies, historical and constitutional analyses, and media communication, is to educate the public on the actual effects of money in politics, and the results of a more free and competitive electoral process.
