AP offers this
report.
Read
this: "But now independent groups that support Democrats -
including unions, environmental groups and new players - are
fast gaining ground, often while using some of the same
techniques condemned by Democrats. The strategies include using
money from nonprofit organizations that can keep their donors
secret and tapping into union dues to pay for unlimited attack
ads."

The Alaska Dispatch reports
on this
state court order, which begins: "For the first time in
the election history of the state of Alaska, the division of
elections has provided the names, party affiliations, and
registration status of write-in candidates to each polling place
in the state. The actions of the Division are in clear violation
of an Alaska administrative regulation." Bad news for Sen.
Murkowski. Both Democrats (who brought the suit) and Republicans
(who intervened to support it) think it will be better news for
them.
