We hear numerous claims that the money spent on campaigns from
undisclosed donations is greater in 2010 than in previous elections. Is
there data or research that would actually confirm the assertions that
the percentage share of total money spent on campaigns from undisclosed
donations is greater in 2010 than in previous elections?
The only groups that do not disclose their donors are 501s (that is
501(c)(4), 501(c)(6) etc) (please correct me if I am wrong). Is there a
study or firm data showing that 501 spending has grown more than the
spending of other spenders (candidates, parties, 527s, other
organizations)?
Thanks for the help,
Jurij
