Ah, to be cited in a dissenting opinion! (For those of you
having difficulty finding footnotes 4 & 7, they are in Judge Moore’s
dissent, which cites Allison several times and includes her quote from Ophelia’s
lament.)

The Sixth Circuit has just released an opinion upholding
Tennessee's felon voter re-enfranchisement statute (which requires payment of
child support and restitution before rights are restored) against a challenge
based on the Equal Protection Clause, 24th Amendment, Ex Post Facto Clause, and
privileges or Immunities Clause.
