Subject: [EL] Sixth Circuit Upholds TN Felon Voting Statute
The Sixth Circuit has just released an opinion upholding
Tennessee's felon voter re-enfranchisement statute (which requires payment of child
support and restitution before rights are restored) against a challenge based
on the Equal Protection Clause, 24th Amendment, Ex Post Facto Clause, and
privileges or Immunities Clause.
