Since I doubt that Curtis would care if someone posted a wrong number on a website elsewhere, I assume that this was directed at me.

As Curtis may have discovered, I do not post his name or numbers on my website nor do I discuss him in my blogging at Pollster and my op-eds published elsewhere. George Mason is a large university, so maybe someone else posted this misinformation, though I cannot find it anywhere by searching the internet. My guess is that in the course of Curtis' game of telephone, my current estimate of 41.5% somehow became garbled into a Curtis estimate of 45.5% (I will be updating my estimate this evening).

In the future, I would ask Curtis -- and others -- to first contact me directly for clarification.

I should have said it was reported to me by David Bositis who said that George Curry reported to him that I had changed my estimate and that he got his information from a GMU website. I don't want this to be accusatory of anyone. I just want it clear that my estimate of 42 percent stands.,
