The decision of a specially convened election court to strip a British Member of Parliament of his seat over remarks he made about his opponent has just been upheld by the administrative bench of the High Court. The three-judge decision is interesting for clarifying the peculiar status of election courts and their relation to other parts of the British judiciary; see this commentary.

The text of the administrative court decision is here.

The commentary also refers to a decision just issued by the new UK Supreme Court, regarding the fraught issue of parliamentary expenses.
