New procedures in New York vary. In NYC, the police bring the tally sheets to other poloce sites where the returns are cumulated and then sent to the county board. In other counties, only the memory sticks are sent to the county boards. 

200,000 votes were apparently found last week, adding to the need for better implementation. The Brennan Center blog covers these topics.
