We have some new
panelists to announce for our conference next Monday on outside
political advertising in the 2010 elections.
Rob Collins, president of American Action Network, will be one
of our three conservative panelists. AAN reported spending $26
million attacking Democratic candidates and supporting
Republicans. And Brandon Davis, political director for the
Service Employees International Union, will be part of our
liberal panel. SEIU reported spending nearly $17 million on the
other side. Both groups were among the top five independent
groups as measured by outside
spending reported to the Federal Election Commission.
Collins and Davis will join previously announced panelists,
replacing two who withdrew due to unforeseen scheduling
difficulties.
Please RSVP to Dr. Ken Winneg if you
plan to attend.
