report about this

fascinating one person, one vote issues in connection with the
rules nominating judges to the bench in Iowa. It would make a
great teaching case or basis for a final exam question.

Politico offers this
report. In the article, I'm quoted as being quite critical

Politico offers this
report. It quotes FEC Commissioner Weintraub, who was in
the minority in this case, as follows: "A newspaper can run an
editorial endorsing a candidate, but if it then goes out and

mean that you have a total exemption for any activity that you
do and the same follows here..."
Denver
Post: "Bernie Buescher, the incumbent Colorado secretary
of state defeated by Republican Scott Gessler in November, has
found a new job: overseeing the state lawyers who represent
Gessler."
Brookings will be hosting this
interesting event on Thursday.
Public Citizen has issued this report.
