Re: [EL] Query about retention elections

What about state appellate judges?  Here in Oklahoma, the three appeals courts are appointed with statewide retention vote, but each justice comes from a different, geographic residency district. There is no way to add additional judges in these instances.

Oops.  Sent unfinished.  Districts usually get additional judges (multi-member districts) or they subdivide existing multi-county districts

No.  Judges are not representatives in that sense.  I believe that the tendency is to adjust districts based on caseload,
