Rather than flood your e-mail, I'll be posting similar statistics for other states as soon as I can process them under the state links available here (I expect I'll have statistics for the other three states posted later this evening):
For the real nerds out there who are digging into these data, a couple of pointers that I learned:
- If you're using Windows, make sure that you unzip the files using a program that converts Linux carriage returns to Windows/DOS format. I do not believe the native Windows program does this, but Winzip and Zip-7 do.
- If you're importing these data into the Census Bureau's Access templates as I do, note that the geography data are in a flat file format that requires
you to
pecifications, the data files are in comma delimited format and should be directly appended into the associated tables without using the import specifications.
