In this
post I pointed to the failure of the Republican FEC
commissioners to move forward on a complaint that looked like a
clear-cut violation of a disclaimer provision of federal law.
But I was somewhat concerned that my conclusion was based upon
the poor black and white copy of the mailer at issue that was
part of the FEC file. But the CLC Blog has now posted a color
copy and the case that the FEC Commissioners are making
poor judgment calls is even stronger. Here's the CLC
