Under Article II the Arizona legislature has plenary power to determine the manner of selection of presidential electors, but of course that power is subject to the 14th Amendment.

Subject: [EL] Does Arizona Birth Certificate bill violate Equal Protection?

The Arizona law only relates to presidential nominees of ongoing political parties.  Newly-qualifying parties don't need to bother submitting their presidential nominee's long-form birth certificate.  Neither do independent presidential nominees, or write-in presidential candidates.  Does anyone think this violates equal protection?
