[EL] ALEC Boycott

ALEC attempts to build on the foundations set by the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and Conference of State Governments (CSG), competing to attract legislators to their meetings with issue advocacy and access to conservative agendas. The two state-funded organizations find it often hard to compete with ALEC's ability to draw conservative legislators and corporations promoting their products. It's very transactional.
