Attached please find testimony Advancement Project has submitted for this morning's hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on "The State of the Right to Vote After the 2012 Election.”
In it, we argue that after the rollbacks to voting rights leading up to the 2012 elections, now is the time for Congress to enshrine an explicit, affirmative right to vote that would resolve many of the problems seen in the 2012 elections and protect fundamental voting rights in more meaningful, effective ways in the future.
