I just don't see how one can have a objective discussion about  money in 
politics without considering the huge spending by multibillion  dollar 
international corporate conglomerates that spend enormous sums of  corporate money 
from undisclosed sources to influence our elections.

MSNBC has a budget of about $400 million in 2011 and their spending alone  
supporting Obama was many times all the money given to Super PACs by  
corporations. Of course,  Super PAC contributions are fully  transparent, where 
media corporate spending is not.  If you add   the spending supporting Obama 
by PBSCNNABCNBCCBSWashPostNYTimesLATimesBloomberg  etc etc, there was 10s of 
billions spent by the media industry to support  Obama.
 
When the "reformers" talk about corporate spending influencing elections,  
they ignore the biggest corporate spending of all.  Jim  Bopp
