During that period, Vermont and New Hampshire have been the only states to have 2-year gubernatorial terms. All others are 4 year terms.
4-year term states that have elections in odd years are New Jersey and Virginia in the year after a presidential election, and Kentucky and Louisiana and Mississippi in the year before a presidential election.
4-year term states that hold gubernatorial elections in presidential years are Delaware, Indiana, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Utah, Washington, and West Virginia.
All states not mentioned above elect their governor in mid-term years such as 2014, 2010, etc.

Subject: [EL] looking for list of governor's races
Hi,
I'm looking for a list of which states had governor's races in which years, going back to 1992 or so.
Any thoughts on where to look or can anybody send me such a list?
Thank you.
Doug
