    Will Eric Cantor Mount a Write-In Campaign?

Rumors <https://twitter.com/ryanobles/status/476526787594170369> say no
after Cantor's surprising defeat
<http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/virginia-politics/eric-cantor-faces-tea-party-challenge-tuesday/2014/06/10/17da5d20-f092-11e3-bf76-447a5df6411f_story.html>
in the primary.

What will Cantor's loss mean for the passage
<https://twitter.com/derektmuller/status/476525283462643713> of the
Voting Rights Amendments Act? I think it makes VRAA passage even less
likely as the leadership will be ever fearful of attacks from the right.

Josh Marshall
<http://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/whats-wrong-with-new-york> asks a
good question about election administration in NY: "So I bash
Republicans in Ohio and North Carolina for restricting early voting. And
yet I live in a state in which there's no early voting at all. In fact,
New York state might at best be described as living in a voting world of
two or three decades ago."
