CPI
<http://www.dallasnews.com/news/politics/headlines/20140615-cornyns-war-chest-benefits-from-bundlers.ece>(Dallas
Morning News):

When Sen. John Cornyn needed help fortifying his campaign war chest
against a pesky and potentially dangerous tea party challenger, a
    small army of lobbyists volunteered.

Government influencers representing Goldman Sachs, Koch Industries
and Lockheed Martin ranked among the "bundlers" who helped fill
Cornyn's coffers with nearly $1.1 million during 2013 and early
2014, according to a Center for Public Integrity review of federal
campaign finance filings. Their contributions amounted to about $1
out of every $9 Cornyn raised.

"Early voting hasn't boosted Ohio turnout"

Columbus Dispatch
<http://www.dispatch.com/content/stories/local/2014/06/16/early-voting-hasntboosted-ohio-turnout.html>:

Early voting has not led to more voting in Ohio, at least not in
    terms of total votes cast.

A /Dispatch/ analysis of the vote totals from the past three
presidential elections in the state shows that overall turnout in
the 2012 race, when Ohioans arguably had the most opportunities in
state history to vote early, was lower than in the 2004 election,
when there was virtually no early voting in Ohio.

Seems to me that a study which accounts for the affect of early voting
on turnout needs to do more than just look at total votes cast.

"Why Hispanics Don't Have a Larger Political Voice"

Nate Cohn
<http://www.nytimes.com/2014/06/16/upshot/why-hispanics-dont-have-a-larger-political-voice.html?ref=politics>:

Hispanic-Americans are growing in number, coveted by the nation's
political parties and deeply in favor of an overhaul of the nation's
immigration laws. Given this combination, why does such an overhaul
still seem to be such a long shot in Washington?

One reason is that no demographic group is more marginalized in
American elections than Hispanics. Many are ineligible to vote,
while those who can vote often do not or are concentrated in
noncompetitive districts and states. The dynamic will be
particularly strong in this year's midterms in November, when
Hispanic voters will represent a tiny fraction of the electorate in
the states and districts critical to the battle for control of Congress.
