[EL] The terror of James O'Keefe

Brad points to the potential for the kind of problem that used to define
what people used to think of when they thought of election fraud, that is,
fraud committed by campaign operatives, election officials, candidates,
politicians, etc. What O'Keefe does that in my view is so damaging is feed
the hysteria about voters committing fraud. I believe he does this
deliberately, though I'm sure he would disagree. I've argued that what
sociologists call labeling evident in attitudes about the criminality of
poor people and minority people, and now "Democrat" people facilitate the
misidentification of perpetrators of election fraud, and therefore, the
misidentification of policy solutions. Voter identification laws can be
understood in this way.
