For what its worth, the only "raid" referenced in this story -- the search
warrant executed on the home of Walker aide Cindy Archer -- pertained to
the investigation into the illegal use of taxpayer resources for campaign
activity in Walker's office when he was Milwaukee County Executive.
Archer had been the number three administrator in county government and
part of the secret wifi and email system used in the office to conduct
taxpayer-funded campaign work (and apparently
<http://wisconsinwatch.org/2014/02/walker-camp-irked-by-records-requests-emails-show/>
to evade
the open records law). As a result of that investigation, two former Walker
aides, Kelly Rindfleisch and Darlene Wink, were convicted for campaigning
on the public dime.
Archer's home was searched in September 2011, well before Walker's June
2012 recall election and before the alleged campaign coordination (and the
related investigation) occurred.
And even setting aside questions about Lutz' credibility, I have a hard
time understanding how an investigation that started in 2009 was motivated
by, as Lutz claims, anger over Walker's anti-union legislation -- which was
introduced in 2011.
