I don't know what's referenced in that story, but you're not denying that there were a whole bunch of midnight and dawn raids, are you?

For what its worth, the only "raid" referenced in this story -- the search warrant executed on the home of Walker aide Cindy Archer -- pertained to the investigation into the illegal use of taxpayer resources for campaign activity in Walker's office when he was Milwaukee County Executive.
Archer had been the number three administrator in county government and part of the secret wifi and email system used in the office to conduct taxpayer-funded campaign work (and apparently<http://wisconsinwatch.org/2014/02/walker-camp-irked-by-records-requests-emails-show/> to evade the open records law). As a result of that investigation, two former Walker aides, Kelly Rindfleisch and Darlene Wink, were convicted for campaigning on the public dime.
Archer's home was searched in September 2011, well before Walker's June 2012 recall election and before the alleged campaign coordination (and the related investigation) occurred.
And even setting aside questions about Lutz' credibility, I have a hard time understanding how an investigation that started in 2009 was motivated by, as Lutz claims, anger over Walker's anti-union legislation -- which was introduced in 2011.

Thanks, Tyler. I am always open to new data (which, by the way, mostly explains my overall approach to campaign laws).
But I think the article you recommend only corroborates what we suspect about Chisolm and Chisolm's tactics in Wisconsin. I recommend others read the article you cite.
As to your direct point, on the matter of death threats, as against the point I was making, I would note this sentence in your article:
"Several sources close to Lutz [the Officer later interviewed by Megyn Kelly] said criticism of his recent conduct [drunken death threats on voice mail] doesn't mean his statements about Chisholm and his office are false."
Best,
Steve

Steve,
What I find unpleasant is the fact that the police officer interviewed by Megyn Kelly, Michael Lutz, in the link you provide, along side Eric O'Keefe the head of Wisconsin Club for Growth, had issued a death threat<http://www.jsonline.com/watchdog/noquarter/source-who-accused-chisholm-of-vendetta-has-troubled-past-b99350187z1-274905441.html> to the prosecutor in question, John Chisholm - raising a certain level of concern over Lutz's credibility. Though, like all good FoxNews reporting, that information was not disclosed during the interview.

Gentlemen, none of this is pleasant. I grant you.
But if you say political retribution is a discussion irrelevant to the matter of remaking or "reforming" our speech protections, I'd say you have a lot to learn.

OK, I’m convinced.
Seriously, folks, can we focus our posts on relevant information and discussions.

A nod to Eric O'Keefe and the Officer for coming forward.
