With Bernie Sanders appearing on “Ellen” and Seth Meyers going after the wealthy spending money in campaigns, NBC/Universal is spending a lot of money to distribute political speech that tells us that spending money to distribute political speech is bad. Glad to see another scrappy underdog bravely joining Viacom, which distributed Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert’s gutsy stances against people besides them having their voices heard. Their undisclosed, unreported, and unlimited political spending came with much applause from Anne Revel, who apparently doesn’t care where “dark money” comes from so long as it owns a massive and influential television network.

I kid, but personally, I’m glad there are other voices in the political discussion in this country besides corporate behemoths like these, so that the speech of these multi-national corporations is not the only speech people get to hear.
