A stark number coming out of this election is the 9 percentage point gap
between turnout in the swing states and the rest of the country -- see
FiveThirtyEight.com.

Swing state turnout was good this cycle. But having the candidate do more
than 90% of their campaign events in 11 states and more than half in just
four states sure doesn't help spur turnout around the country

Speaking of which, Donald Trump on 60 Minutes reaffirmed his support for
going to a national popular vote for president as it would all states in
play. Se
