[EL] Laws against political discrimination in hiring

Dear Colleagues,

I recently learned that Washington, DC, has a law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of political affiliation in hiring. This strikes me as a uncommon law with regard to private sector employees. Is anybody on the list aware of whether other localities have such rules? I've seen evidence that these laws also exist in some MD counties near DC, but I haven't been able to find evidence that they exist more broadly.

Best,
Dave
