Does the law relate specifically to what party an individual is registered into?
A law like that wouldn't work in Virginia or any of the other 20 states in which the voter registration form doesn't ask the applicant about choice of party.

I recently learned that Washington, DC, has a law prohibiting discrimination on the basis of political affiliation in hiring. This strikes me as a uncommon law with regard to private sector employees. Is anybody on the list aware of whether other localities have such rules? I’ve seen evidence that these laws also exist in some MD counties near DC, but I haven’t been able to find evidence that they exist more broadly.
Best,
Dave
