[EL] Are we really doing this again?

We all know the following:

(1) there is almost no in person voting fraud

(2) voter ID is poorly suited to catch what real election administration issues there are

(3) there are a few, and decreasing every year, people who can't get some form of ID

(4) those who can't get ID tend to be older, poorer, minorities and new voters who are also generally poorer

(5) these laws, the details thereof, and the opposition thereto are largely partisan driven and are designed to reward IDs held by supporters of the laws' advocates

(6) both sides are at their worst defending these ("they are fair, no one can have a problem" or "there's no fraud, RACIST!")

(7) advocates for these laws don't care about any ROI calculation

Let's stipulate to all of that, and move on in our discussion at least, even if certain people on this list want to keep pushing the policies offline.
