Good, and I only started commenting when someone said that increasing voter turnout (as opposed to making sure that records were accurate) was necessarily a good thing or a sign of good election administration.
Anyway, carry on.

If you review the subject line, this was a discussion about an actual election administration issue, the means states have at their disposal to verify the US citizenship of voter registration applicants and the accuracy of various databases that are used to that end.

"whereas demographics that are very much opposed to him are being actively suppressed and blocked at every turn." - Thinking this is another reason why we got Trump. Voter ID -- let alone administrative tweaks of voting hours/days -- are simply not suppression, no matter how much people jump up and down or invoke specious disparate-impact theories (which alas some judges swallow but that doesn't mean they comport with reality). Suggest people focus on actual problems with election administration, let alone actual social problems that are beyond the scope of this listserv.
