[EL] Voter registration by race

[Barry Burden]

A 2009 SPPQ article by Cooper, Haspel, and Knotts indicated that 8 states made race available in public voter files: AL, FL, GA, LA, NC, SC, TN, and TX.

CA doesn’t make voter registration by race available.  Best you can do is surname match for Latino and Asian-American, plus a more approximate guess for African-American.
