Apologies for cross-posting. Mara Suttman-Lea (Connecticut College) and I
are sharing this one last time. Panels are expected to be a blend of
in-person and online.

Dear all,

The deadline is extended for the 2021 SPSA conference-within-a-conference
(CwC) call on Election Sciences! Please submit abstracts by Sunday, August
30, 2020, at 11:59 PM Eastern. See below for our original call:

Jack Santucci and I are working on organizing full panel submissions or
stand alone abstracts for the 2021 SPSA conference-within-a-conference
(CwC). We hope to draw from the Election Law, Election Sciences, and
Political Methodology circles.

Our theme for this CwC is: "looking back on a challenging year." We
encourage abstract submissions that look into institutional, administrative
and citizen-led initiatives to increase or restrict access to the ballot
box, broadly speaking. We also encourage submissions on institutional and
administrative responses to COVID-19, as well as how those responses
performed.

We also encourage submissions that involve undergraduate research, or a
discussion on how to involve students in election-related research.
Practitioner perspectives are welcome.

We plan to organize a roundtable discussion on non-academic careers in
election science. Stay tuned for details.

We aim for three panels of 4-5 papers, one of which may be focused on
collaboration with undergraduate students.

Please send your abstracts (250 words) to jack.santucci at gmail.com and/or
csuttmann at conncoll.edu by Sunday, August 30, 2020, at 11:59 PM Eastern.
