[EL] surely someone has counted opinion authors in US Supreme Court

One additional data point: Gorsuch has written six majority opinions thus
far. The other three justices without May assignments have each written
five.

I"m on record making the reckless and worthless predictions that Sotomayor
has Vance (as the only former district court judge and a former
prosecutor), Breyer or Chief has Mazars, and Gorsuch or Breyer has McGirt.
