I’ve been trying to track the COVID-19-related election litigation, with an enormous lift from the spectacular Civil Rights Litigation Clearinghouse<https://www.clearinghouse.net/index.php> at Michigan, which has a full COVID collection<https://clearinghouse.net/results.php?searchSpecialCollection=62> (not just for elections).

In addition to the NY litigation Steve mentioned, and the MA case<https://clearinghouse.net/detail.php?id=17499&search=source%7Cgeneral%3BspecialCollection%7C62%3Borderby%7CfilingYear%3B> Adam cited below, there have been a few other COVID cases thus far around nomination or initiative/referendum signatures – either attempts to limit the number of signatures required, or to accept e-signatures (or both). I’d welcome references to others not mentioned here…

There is a controversy in New York about the ability to get electronic petition signatures to get on the ballot while candidates are in lockdown and prevented from getting in-person signatures. Does anyone happen to know about rules in other states re: electronic signatures, either preexisting rules or any temporary pandemic-related adaptations?
