So, we need to familiarize ourselves with local ordinances before we can
speak on our own property now? When did Ladue (or the First Amendment,
for that matter) get overturned?

That story doesn't have much, if anything, to do with the postal worker
story.
City officials objected to a sign with a photoshopped image of the
president
wearing a diaper saying "I stink" and "It's the Arab spring" -- without
familiarizing oneself with local ordinances and any homeowner rules,
it's hard
to comment on whether the objection to the sign was within bounds or out
of
bounds.
