[EL] 25 independent & minor party candidates elected to state legislatures this week

The blog post, and the one before it, also refers to the 8 minor party members elected.  Adding 17 and 8 = 25, the largest such number of people elected to state legislators outside the two major parties, probably, since 1944.  I can't be sure because I haven't checked the number of independent candidates elected to state legislatures yet, although I will do so soon.
