The Hill:
<http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/house-races/268527-wests-call-for-recount-dismissed-in-court>
"The legal battle surrounding the results of Rep. Allen West's (R-Fla.)
reelection bid is likely not over yet, as both he and Democrat Patrick
Murphy have indicated a willingness to move forward with litigation,
regardless of the official results. A judge has dismissed West's case
calling for a full recount of ballots from all eight days of early
voting in St. Lucie County, a major part of Florida's 18th District,
eliminating his final legal option before the county's vote canvassing
board meets this afternoon to decide whether to engage in a full recount."

    "The Freshman Filibuster Reformers"

Brennan Center:
<http://www.brennancenter.org/blog/archives/the_freshman_filibuster_reformers/>
"Of the twelve new Senators elected, eight endorsed filibuster reform
during the campaign. Senators-elect
<http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/10/31/1153236/-Meet-the-Filibuster-Reformers>
Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Martin Heinrich (D-NM), Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND),
Mazie Hirono (HI), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Chris Murphy (D-CT) Elizabeth
Warren (D-MA), and Angus King

(I-ME) join a chamber where the appetite for combating filibuster abuse
is growing. In January of 2011, the Senate voted 44-51
<http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=112&session=1&vote=00005>
to change the Senate rules and rein in obstructionist activity. Five of
the freshman reformers replace Senators who voted against the rules
changes."

Also, "A new Brennan Center report
<http://www.brennancenter.org/content/resource/curbing_filibuster_abuse>
details the sharp rise in legislative obstruction in the Senate and
offers a blueprint to curb filibuster abuse in the next Congress. It
comes amid serious discussions
<http://www.huffingtonpost.com/jonathan-backer/the-freshman-filibuster-r_b_2090278.html>
by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and others to make filibuster
reform a top priority."
