I'm aware of 4 scholarly papers that have been released in 2013 on the subject of partisan primary types and polarization. The ones I know about are:
1. Reform and Representation: Assessing California's Top-Two Primary and Redistricting Commission, by Thad Kousser, Justin Phillips, and Boris Shor.
2. A Primary Cause of Partisanship? Nomination Systems and Legislator Ideology, by Eric McGhee, Seth Masket, Boris Shor, Steven Rogers, and Nolan McCarty.
3. Primary Type, Polarization of State Electorates and the Ideological Composition of Primary Electorates, by Barbara Norrander, Kerri Stephens, and Jay L. Wendland.
4. An Experimental Test on the 2012 Primary, by Doug Ahler, Jack Citrin, and Gabriel S. Lenz.
Does anyone know if there are any others that came out this year? Does anyone know if any papers on this topic will be presented at the American Pol. Sci. Assn. meeting in Chicago? Thank you.
