Regarding the University of Maryland survey on ranked choice voting described in the article below, while they made a valiant effort to explain it to survey respondents and to summarize arguments for and against, one of the arguments against ranked choice voting is that very few people who are not math whizzes of quantitative political scientists fully understand it and its implications. I seriously doubt that most of the survey respondents could pass a pop quiz on how ranked choice voting works in practice. I know I couldn’t….
