Health Care Compliance

This course develops knowledge and skills in the areas of health care compliance, ethics, and risk management. Potential topics include informed consent, medical futility, professional licensing, discipline, and scope of practice, physician supervision of non-physician clinicians, adverse event reporting and investigations, obligations and investigations under EMTALA, managed care practices, Medicaid eligibility and benefits, and Medicare reimbursement.
