Human Rights Challenge

Human Rights

In this course, students will apply design thinking, systems thinking and network building techniques to generate innovative solutions to a Human Rights Challenge. Working in interdisciplinary teams, students will learn how to use concepts such as power-mapping, creative questions, user journeys and early prototyping in concert with their professional skills to catalyze new approaches. Students will present their team’s solution to an invited audience at the end of the course.

For January 2021, the Human Rights Challenge will take place in an interactive environment.  Each day will involve a morning plenary session on zoom, with different fun physical and mental activities, team-work and group work.  The afternoon session will be self-directed, where students can spend time off zoom conducting independent research, before returning to a group meeting to conclude each day.
